Next year, do NOT buy the Costco chocolate assortment of Halloween candy until the day of Halloween. Not the day before. And certainly not the weekend before, even if you just happened to be at Costco for milk and bread, and it’s convenient to pick it up while you are there.
In fact, wait until about 5:30 p.m. on the day of Halloween, then drive home and open up the bag for the trick or treaters in the driveway, while they are lining up around the block.
It’s the only way to prevent yourself from eating every single Snickers bar in the whole bag.
Not that such a thing actually happened this year.
Oh, and wipe the chocolate fingerprints from your computer keyboard. It’s a dead giveaway.
