Girls can do anything they want to.Scene: Large truck turns the corner. Daughter watches with interest as it navigates a tight turn.

Five-year-old: Is that a boy or a girl?

Mom glances at the driver.

Mom: It’s a boy.

Five-year-old: Oh. Mostly boys drive big trucks like that.

Mom: Yes. But girls can drive big trucks too. Girls can do anything they want to.

Five-year-old: Yeah. But only when they are grownups.
